MS Society -- Sydney to the Gong Bike Ride Volunteer

Sunday 4 November

Volunteers are required on Sunday 4 November for various roles including:

Route Marshals - direct riders along the course
Base Volunteers - assist with catering, information, sales, check-in etc at the rest stops and start/finish sites
Base and Sector Managers
Mobile Support - assist riders with general repairs along the course
Bike Mechanics
Massage
Transport

You may choose to be placed at various locations from St Peters, Sydney all the way to Wollongong.

Why?

Gain valuable work experience in sports/ event management, meet new people & experience Sydney`s favourite cyclying event!

No experience is necessary, just a good attitude and a lot of enthusiasm.

The Sydney to the Gong Bike Ride is a fundraising event to help with the research and development of Multiple Sclerosis.

Why Cumbo OTs?

The cruise, entitled “We’ll Float Your Boat” attracted some 261 students in October 2006, and proved to be a fantastic night cruising the harbour with good music, drinks, pizza and of course oozed "Cumbo" spirit! All ‘boat-floaters’ eagerly dressed to the theme of “I can’t believe you’re wearing THAT!” ... it was soon recognised that this was a valuble exercise. So, Why stop there! What we noticed was that we did not have a place that all our OT colleagues could stay up to date and so CumboOTs.com was born. With the help of the many other enthusiastic CumboOT's this site continues to grow and our CumboOT spirit is well and truely taking the Cumberland campus by storm.

Who can use CumboOT's.com?

Anyone! especially those of you who are enrolled or have been enrolled as an OT at Cumbo!!

CumboOTs.com is accessible to all. Whether you are still studying or have graduated. Regualar events and the Cumbo Spirit always just a click away!

CumboOTs.com aims to promote cohesion, communication, interaction and overall spirit amongst our OT student body, which we hope will continue beyond University and into our future careers as OT professionals.
