The Oaktree Foundation is Australia’s first entirely youth run aid and development agency which aims “to empower developing communities through education in a way that is sustainable”.


Since 2003, Oaktree has provided over 27,500 young people in developing communities with educational opportunities. The NSW HR Manager is a crucial member of the NSW Team and must demonstrate outstanding commitment to achieve Oaktree’s objectives. The NSW HR Manager is responsible for effectively developing, communicating and implementing a strong National Volunteer Programme. He or she will work with the NSW Director and COO to develop entry and exit strategies, find, place and train the best volunteers, and oversee the professional development of team members.

Oaktree NSW is seeking someone who is committed to contributing to the growth of others, who is a skilled communicator and leader, who displays efficiency, initiative, imagination, strong problem solving skills, vision and who is passionate about the mobilisation of young people to make a difference in their world.

The role requires a commitment of at least 10 hours per week. The timing of these hours is flexible, except for the attending of weekly meetings.
