Assistant Volunteer Program Co-ordinator
SHINE for Kids seeks two Assistant Volunteer Program Co-ordinators. These positions will work at Silverwater and offer varied, dynamic and exciting scope for the right person. Best suited to self starters, these crucial roles will help fuel our volunteer program and help SHINE for Kids develop in new communities throughout NSW and beyond. These positions will have primary and secondary responsibilities with scope to tailor the roles to suit the successful applicants’ interests, competencies and skills.
Identified tasks include processing volunteer applications; assisting with recruitment strategies; responding to volunteering enquiries; maintaining online advertising opportunities and community recruitment partnerships; assisting with program evaluation and review; tracking progress made by our volunteer researchers and library volunteers; and researching partnership and donor opportunities.
Position will involve a weekly commitment of 5 hours on a Thursday or Friday and involve phone networking, limited photocopying, data entry into MS Access, and on line research.
Key skills: Strong organisational skills, confident communicator, basic computer skills. Must be able to surf the net/research. Desire to take responsibility for key tasks and enjoy managing your own workload. Previous office experience required.
Full training provided with primary and secondary priorities agreed according to the successful candidate’s skills and the organisation’s needs.
