About the Program: As per the previous two years, the CVA volunteer team will provide general assistance and support in the staging of the commemorative services at the Anzac Commemorative Site and at Lone Pine on 24th & 25th April 2008.
We anticipate that the team of 25 will be divided into three sub groups, with a CVA leader appointed to each. CVA volunteers will be on duty from 2:00pm on the 24th to about 2.00pm on the 25th. Everyone will get a break of a couple of hours during this time, and everyone will get to work in at least two of the three main work areas. Last year, volunteers were allocated to a work area eg south entrance, and remained there for the duration. Everyone stops work to attend the services.
The CVA team may also be required to conduct a litter clean-up along the coast road and the road from Lone Pine to the coast (Artillery Road) on the days prior to the Anzac Day service. In addition to assisting with the dawn service at the Anzac Commemorative Site and the Australian service at Lone Pine, volunteers will visit other significant sites on the Gallipoli Peninsula such as Anzac Cove, Shrapnel Valley, the Nek, Chunuk Bair and Cape Helles. They will also enjoy a cruise along the ANZAC coast on the quiet waters of the Aegean Sea.

Program Price: $5,755, reduced rate $5,255 available for volunteers under 35 years. Program price includes:
return international airfares exiting, Syd/Mel/Bris/Perth.
All meals, hotel accommodation, transportation, guides, some recreational activities.
12 Month Membership Conservation Volunteers Australia.
CVA expenses relating to Team Liaison Officer, program marketing, and administration fees.
The program price does not include: domestic airfares to departure cities, travel and medical insurance, visas, vaccination related costs, airline and departure taxes, or passport related costs.
