The scenic mountain regions of northern Italy and southern France are calling for your assistance. During the first week participants will be assisting with the renewal of an urban reserve in the quaint historic town of Carignano . Carignano is a small village approx 20mins via car from Turin . The region of Piemonte is well known for vineyards, medieval castles and its picturesque views of the bordering Alps . The public reserve is part of an ongoing community project to establish green spaces for people to enjoy the outdoors, project activities at the reserve will include trail maintenance, tree planting, weed removal, construction of fences and park benches.

From Carignano the team will travel by train across the boarder into the French Alps, to the small village of Neige et Merveilles (meaning: boasting snow and wonders), volunteers will be involved with heritage restoration activities, such as dry stone walling, paving paths, and restoration of a 200 year old chapel.

At the completion of the program your hosts have organised two free days in Cap D’Ail in Monaco . This area is very stylish and well known for its beautiful weather, beaches and pine forests, it is very interesting place, with elaborate buildings, expensive shops, and fashion.

Monday 28th July - Monday 4th August (Neige et Mervielles, France)
Monday 4th & Tuesday 5th (Cap D`Ail, Monaco)

Why Cumbo OTs?

The cruise, entitled “We’ll Float Your Boat” attracted some 261 students in October 2006, and proved to be a fantastic night cruising the harbour with good music, drinks, pizza and of course oozed "Cumbo" spirit! All ‘boat-floaters’ eagerly dressed to the theme of “I can’t believe you’re wearing THAT!” ... it was soon recognised that this was a valuble exercise. So, Why stop there! What we noticed was that we did not have a place that all our OT colleagues could stay up to date and so CumboOTs.com was born. With the help of the many other enthusiastic CumboOT's this site continues to grow and our CumboOT spirit is well and truely taking the Cumberland campus by storm.

Who can use CumboOT's.com?

Anyone! especially those of you who are enrolled or have been enrolled as an OT at Cumbo!!

CumboOTs.com is accessible to all. Whether you are still studying or have graduated. Regualar events and the Cumbo Spirit always just a click away!

CumboOTs.com aims to promote cohesion, communication, interaction and overall spirit amongst our OT student body, which we hope will continue beyond University and into our future careers as OT professionals.
