Empower young people in the developing world

The Oaktree Foundation
NSW Schools Coordinator
Enhance your leadership skills
Volunteer with a highly-regarded organisation

The Oaktree Foundation is Australia`s first entirely youth run aid and development agency which aims "to empower developing communities through education in a way that is sustainable". Since 2003, Oaktree has provided over 40,000 young people in developing communities with educational opportunities.

The Schools Network is at the forefront of Oaktree`s advocacy and fundraising campaigns. The Schools Coordinator role is an exciting position that involves leading a team of young people who support school groups, doing presentations about Oaktree and Oaktree`s campaigns to excite both students and staff, empowering young people in schools to create their own response to global issues - whereby they can dream up and independently run their own fundraising and advocacy events to begin making a difference.

It is an opportunity for you to build your leadership, communication and organisational skills, while making a tangible difference to the lives of young people in both Australia and the developing world. Oaktree is seeking someone aged between 18 and 25, who has experience as a leader and public speaker, and who is reliable, personable, creative, organised and good with people and problem solving to manage this exciting team. You will be trained and supported in the specific tasks of the role. The role requires a commitment of at least 8 hours per week, some of which can be done from home. This position will be filled as we find a suitable applicant. Apply now by emailing a cover letter and your resume to nsw@theoaktree.org to ensure you don`t miss out!
