Telephone counsellors

Lifeline need caring people aged 21 plus to train as volunteer telephone counsellors. Learn valuable communication and counselling skills; previous counselling experience not required.

Next comprehensive 18 week training course commences 18 February.

Learning partners

Provide learning assistance to marginalised people aiming to access university education through the Mission Australia Catalyst program. Help with organising skills, essay writing, internet searches, library use etc.

Mondays: 5.30pm–7pm for 12 weeks (training is additional).

It`s fun and you don`t need to be a wrapping expert.


All donations received by customers comes directly to Jeans for Genes.

Volunteer Orientation and Induction Officer

The Cancer Council NSW is dedicated to defeating cancer by building a cancer smart community.

The Volunteer Program Unit is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic volunteer for the position of VOIS Officer to support the orientation and induction process for new Cancer Council volunteers; and provide guidance to Supervisor’s on VOIS procedures.

Based at the Woolloomooloo Office you will report to the VPU Consultant, and will undertake the timely implementation of the volunteer orientation and induction scheme.

Essentially, you will demonstrate experience and enthusiasm for helping people become comfortable and educated about new work environments, and interact closely with colleagues to ensure that all information is relevant and helpful.
